Slap me, I deserve it.

The last time, I posted on here was June 2015. Freaking June. I can’t even comprehend how that happened. Did I hibernate for half a year? Did I travel thru time?

But that’s not the worst part. This is the second time I’ve done this.

Second time. So as promised.

Next time I disappear please, slap me in the face.

I probably deserve to be slapped in the face. I always say to myself that I’m going to start to get organized on here but that never happens. I try to promise that I’ll post weekly and that never seems to stick. But after I’ve been away from the book blogging community, I find myself missing it. A shit ton. So I’m not giving up on this blog just yet. I just ask you to bear with me. While I get my shit together.

I thought it would be weird if I just started blogging again, so this is me saying…

Intro to 2015

I’ve come to the realization that I’ve never introduced myself on here. And since it’s a start to a new year and hopefully a start to a regular blogging year for me.

So here goes nothing. I’m Sayana but I go by Sa. I’m a teenage girl living in a magical land called Germany. And no, I don’t speak German. Okay I know that sounds terrible and it’s quite embarrassing. But there is a reason I don’t speak German. I’m not from here or do I go to a German school. I go to an American school, and I’ve only been here for two years so my German is very limited. It’s still not an excuse but it’s better than nothing and besides German is hard! And it doesn’t help that I take French in school not German. That wasn’t my brightest choice.
Anyways I was born and raised in Disney World not really but at the same time yes. That’s what life in Orlando does. You only go to theme parks! Which I’m not complaining.
I love to read of course, and I love my tv shows and movies. Especially superhero movies.
I also do Track which I love.
Hmm.. what else?
Frankly I don’t even know. If you ever what to know more about me don’t be afraid to ask!

So on the part of where I’m actually going to talk about this new year! And all the goals I hopefully accomplish.

So as I mentioned in my last post, in 2015 I want to read 60 books, read bigger books and read some adult books. And somewhere along the line I’ve decided that I’m going to try out two challenges this year. Which might be a mistake but oh well I’ll try it anyways!

That two challenges are:
The Debut Author Challenge which I hope to read 12 books from new debut authors. This one is a huge stretch but I am praying that I’ll have enough will power to finish this one. And it doesn’t hurt that I’m excited by so many debut books!
The other one I’m taking a swing at is the Book Blog Organization Challenge. Okay so this is one that I need. Like badly. So when I saw this one, it was a no brainer. And out of these two I’m rooting for myself to keep on track with this one the most. And it’s only for the first six months out of the year!
Every month there will be a blog topic to work on throughout the month. Hopefully at the end I’ll have all my stuff in place. I already got started on making a blog calendar! Kinda super proud.

Sorry if this was a little scattered brained. Happy New Year to everyone! Hopefully we will all have a successful reading year.

Introduce yourself to me! I would love to have more interaction with you guys. Do any of you have goals in mind for this year? Taking part in any challenges?

Bye-bye 2014, Hello 2015

We are already at the end! 2014 for me was a year of rediscovery and finding new interests. In the start of the year, I picked up reading again. I was never a super avid reader but I enjoyed a novel here and there. So it surprised me to see, what one year can do to change my perspective on reading.
Since I’ve picked up my reading game, I’ve found something great. I discovered this community, which has allowed me to fall completely in love with books. And now it’s for better or for worse.

Now reflecting on the actual reading I’ve done in 2014. Well for starters, I completed my goodreads challenge! I read over 50 books this year! Which sounds insane, I went from probably reading 5 books last year to reading 50! Hopefully 2015 will be an even bigger year for me. I’m going to be setting my goals for 2015 to be 60 books. I want to read more books, but I also want to broaden my reading taste. So I’m making some personal goals for myself.I’ve noticed that the longest book I’ve read this year was only 500+ pages, so I made one of my goals, to reading bigger books, at least 600+ pages. Hopefully I’ll be able to complete 5 big books this year. Another goal I’m setting up for myself is to read 5 adult novels. Which is probably the real challenge, I’m not even sure I’ve read one adult novel this year or any year…
BUT, it’s all in the name of expanding my horizons. Hopefully I won’t die at the end.

Okay now on to the real feat. For 2015 I want to blog more. I want to take this little blog and make something out of it that I am proud of. And hopefully get to meet amazing readers on the way. I might have to start developing some sort of structure on here. Like blog at least twice a week, or actually figure out what the hell I want to ramble about on here. Which will take some time to sort out, but it WILL get sorted out.

So hopefully, something I said remotely made sense. And fingers crossed since I’m declaring it on here, all of my challenges will be done! How about for you guys any goals for the coming year? resolutions?
