The Infinite Seas By: Rick Yancey

16131484   Book 2 in The 5th Wave trilogy

The riveting follow-up to the New York Times bestselling The 5th Wave, hailed by Justin Cronin as    “wildly  entertaining.”

How do you rid the Earth of seven billion humans? Rid the humans of their humanity.

Surviving the first four waves was nearly impossible. Now Cassie Sullivan finds herself in a new world, a world in which the     fundamental trust that binds us together is gone. As the 5th Wave rolls across the landscape, Cassie, Ben, and Ringer are forced to confront the Others’ ultimate goal: the extermination of the human race.

Cassie and her friends haven’t seen the depths to which the Others will sink, nor have the Others seen the heights to which humanity will rise, in the ultimate battle between life and death, hope and despair, love and hate.

Release date Sept. 16th, 2014
desc. from goodreads.

Why it needs to be here already:

Firstly, the release date got pushed back to the one it’s at now.  So, I could have already read it, but no. It got pushed back. But I’m perfectly fine with that, it’s building up the anticipation which I love. I absolutely loved the first one, and I can’t wait to dive into this one. The first one was the perfect mix of action, romance, and a little bit of mystery on what’s going on. It also set up this one well, and I am really intrigued in finding out more about this world, Cassie’s story, and what’s in store for everyone.

I’m literally counting down the days until it gets here.

What are you guys waiting for? Are you excited for The Infinite Seas?

    • I didn’t think it was a thriller even though it’s still there, the book is more heavy on the action. I’m actually glad that they’re making it into a movie, the book just has that theatrical feel to it.

And thank you, I really hope it’s going to live up to the first one (:

    • Haha yes, the first one was really good. I really want to revisit it before I read this one, because my memory is a bit spotty. But I do remember really enjoying the first one.

      Thank you for commenting!

  1. Well, I have to say it: WOW. The second book of this bestselling trilogy is now on its way? YAY!!!! This is the first I hear of it, but I’m definitely excited!! Thanks for posting this, so I can go add it to my TBR at once!

Also, thanks for visiting my blog and commenting on my own WOW!! : )

  2. This book looks really cool! I’m adding it to my TBR (but it might take a while for me to get to it) although the cover might convince me to bump it up a notch on the priority list.

    • Just remember this is the second one in the series! I absolutely love these covers, they represent the books so well. I would hate if they get a cover change.
Plus it is already out and I can’t get it for a while. This makes me really sad. (Sorta on a forced book buying ban)

      Thanks for stopping by 🙂
